One of the keys to my weight loss has been a relatively low calories, protein and nutrient dense shake I make. I add frozen, or sometimes fresh fruit. I would highly recommend getting a real powerful blender like the one I use called Ninja. Regular blenders won’t get everything crushed up as nice If you are committed and going to use this daily like I do the cost is more than justified. I found one of the keys to good flavor is pineapple. Then I add spinach. I tried kale, lettuce, and even dandelion greens but spinach tastes the best for the nutrients. I will mix it up from time to time by adding things like oats, hemp hearts, flax seed, and other things that help my diet. Recently I have been adding spirulina, which is a food from algae. Now I add the protein powder, you’ll want to experiment and find one that tastes best to you. I have tried different flavors and I find that light flavored powders like vanilla, strawberry, and banana have the best flavor. I have also found that pea-based protein powders taste the best overall. I don’t know why but whey in powder form always tastes like spoiled milk to me where when it comes in a premade drink it’s fine. Some of my favorite powders for the drink are Equate pea-based vanilla protein power which has 30 grams of protein per serving and Huel banana or strawberry protein powder which is 20 grams per serving, but you could just add a bit more. The Huel banana is also a nice change to have on its own. Chocolate just doesn’t go well in these shakes it seems to highlight the flavor of the greens while the light flavors hide it. After that just blend it up and enjoy.
I make shakes too using kale and a banana because for some reason the banana makes the kale disintegrate. I put other stuff in, too. Doesn’t taste great but it’s filling.
Hey people!!!!!
Good mood and good luck to everyone!!!!!
